Development and evaluation studies
We have carried out different consultancies for a range of organisations and find that our knowledge of the development scene in the Highlands and Islands greatly contributes to identifying a broad view, as well as a detailed understanding of projects.
Previous work has included:
- Bell Lawrie Scottish Series Argyll & the Islands Enterprise
This four-day yachting regatta, held in Loch Fyne, had reached the final year of its sponsorship deal with Bell Lawrie. The study sought to evaluate the economic and social impact of the second largest regatta in the UK on the local area as well as creating a development plan for future sponsorship.
- Gaelic Place-Names Business Plan Gaelic Names Liaison Committee
The committee which was established by the Ordnance Survey wanted to develop a three-year business plan. It identified the priority projects relating to Gaelic place-names, detailed the actions needed to progress these and included potential sources of funding.
- Feasibility Study for Interpret Scotland
Interpret Scotland is a partnership organisation which promotes cultural and heritage interpretation. The purpose of plan was to examine the feasibility and viability of holding an international conference about interpretation as part of Highland 2007. The work included market research, identification of the best location, likely costs and potential sources of income.
